Ballroom Posted August 30, 2017

Located directly opposite the cultural train station in Kassel, the hotel looks back on a turbulent history: built around 1855 as the “Kaiserhof” hotel, Kassel was the first place for art, culture and entertainment. Apart from numerous operetta performances, gala-shows and maskballs, it was one of the most important vaudeville-theaters in Central Germany. But had to close its doors in the 1990s – untill Documenta 11 in 2002, where the building was reopened for readings or dance events. As a last renovation project, the approximately 400 square meter ballroom was recently renovated. Now, Gala, ball events and weddings can be held there

Come visit us and look at the new ballroom.

We look forward to you.

Leap into the depth Posted August 11, 2017

Have you ever jumped from an 18-meter hight board? You think it doesn´t excist. On the roof of the former Hotel Reiss directly opposite the main station. We will tell you differcut, the artist and confessional Kasseläner Ralph Raabe installed the “Arschbombe” in autumn 2002 on the roof edge of Werner-Hilpert-Straße. Raabe had the board specially made. The construction of wood and metal corresponds to an original diving board, but falls slightly smaller with the dimensions 2.50 x 1.20 x 0.60 meters.

Come and visit us to admire the work of art from 2002.
